The Town of Summerton will receive Sealed Bids for the Goat Island Water System, Elevated Storage Tank Improvements, Division “B”, until 2:00 PM on November 21, 2023 at the Town of Summerton at 10 Main Street, Summerton, SC 29148, at which time and place all Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Base Bid: Construction of a new 150,000-Gallon elevated water storage tank at the Town of Summerton’s Gin Pond Well site, including clearing, grubbing, and grading of the site, construction of a deep pile foundation, yard piping, site and electrical improvements, and all other necessary appurtenances as specified and depicted in the Contract Documents. The base bid also includes work at the Town of Summerton’s Goat Island Well including demolition of a hydropneumatic tank and associated yard piping, and construction of new yard piping improvements. Additive Alternate “A”: Construction of a new chemical feed system at the Town of Summerton’s Sigfield Well including demolition of a hydropneumatic tank and associated yard piping, and construction of new chemical building including equipment and yard piping improvements. Additive Alternate “B”: Construction of a new chemical feed system at the Town of Summerton’s Gin Pond Well including demolition of a hydropneumatic tank and associated yard piping, and construction of new chemical building including equipment and yard piping improvements. Additive Alternate “C”: Construction of a new control valve vault at the Town of Summerton’s Gin Pond Well including construction of new precast concrete valve vault, piping, valves, and appurtenances.
